June 25th, 2017 - Kicking off the Tri State Week in the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour, Billy Moyer Jr visited Jacksonville Speedway (Jacksonville, Illinois) on Tuesday for the ILMO Propane Wildman Kelly Classic. With 23 cars on hand, Billy laid down the second fastest time in his qualifying group before charging to a 10-lap heat race win. Earning the 3rd-starting position for the $5,000-to-win feature, Moyer Jr. fell one spot to place 4th behind Billy Moyer, Bobby Pierce and Shannon Babb with Brent Larson coming in 5th.

The following night brought Moyer Jr. to Spoon River Speedway (Banner, Illinois) for the $5,000 top prize. Starting 5th in his heat race, Billy jumped up two spots to place 3rd. The ninth stop of the Hell Tour brought 33 entries to Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Illinois) on Friday night. Following the second fastest time in his qualifying group, Billy posted a runner-up finish behind Bobby Pierce in his heat race locking him into the 8th-starting spot for the feature. With $10,000 on the line, Moyer Jr. gained one spot in the 40-lapper notching a 7th place outing.

Saturday night Billy and 40 competitors were signed in at Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) for another chance at a $10,000 payday. After timing in fastest overall in his group, Moyer Jr. landed a 3rd place finish in his heat race positioning him 10th on the starting grid for the feature. Closing out the second week of the Hell Tour on Sunday, Moyer Jr. headed to Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt, Indiana) for $5,000-to-win A-Main. Moving up two spots in his heat race, Billy scored a 3rd place finish earning him the 7th-starting position for the feature. Passing one car in the 40-lapper, Billy Moyer Jr. registered a 6th place finish.

June 18th, 2017 - Billy Moyer Jr. was one of 32 Super Late Models signed in at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) on Wednesday night to kick off the 32nd running of the UMP DIRTcar Summernationals Hell Tour. Following the sixth fastest time in his qualifying group, Billy scored a 2nd place finish in his heat race behind Jackie Boggs locking him into the Hoosier Dirt Classic A-Main. On Thursday night with 29 cars registered in for battle at Kankakee County Speedway (Kankakee, Illinois), Billy secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win feature with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Earning the 8th-starting position, Moyer Jr. dropped two spots to place 10th.

The following night brought Moyer Jr. to Sycamore Speedway (Sycamore, Illinois) for a chance at the $7,500 top prize. Grabbing the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat race, Billy earned the 13th-starting position for the feature. After getting caught behind a tangle on the opening lap, Moyer Jr. made a quick trip to the infield pit area to get a right rear shock bracket replaced. Rejoining the field from the tail, Billy Moyer Jr. reeled in an 11th place finish.

For the fourth stop of the tour, Moyer Jr. was one of 29 cars registered at Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois) on Saturday night for the $10,000-to-win affair. After timing in second quick in his group, Billy charged to a 10-lap heat race win, locking him into the pole position for the feature.

Battling with his dad for the top spot, Moyer Jr. took control of the lead on lap 15. Just five circuits later Mother Nature began to drench the oval.

After seeing the field sent to the pits, race officials eventually called off the race when the storm showed no signs of letting up. Even though the feature didn’t reach its halfway point, officials eventually made the decision to declare the race complete, which gave the victory to Billy Moyer Jr.

For his win he received $5,000, which was half of the originally-scheduled winning purse. Bobby Pierce, Moyer Sr., Brian Shirley, and Billy Drake completed the Top 5 finishers. His win on Saturday night marked his third triumph of the season.

Wrapping up the opening week of the Hell Tour, Billy stopped at Daugherty Speedway (Boswell, Indiana) on Sunday. Gaining one spot in his heat race, Moyer Jr. recorded a 3rd place finish positioning him 9th on the starting grid for the feature. Losing four positions in the A-Main that was shortened due to very rough track conditions, Billy Moyer Jr. registered a 13th place outing.

June 10th, 2017 - Bringing the 23rd annual Dirt Late Model Dream to life, Billy Moyer Jr. was one of 79 Super Late Models signed in at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday night for one of two preliminary features. Running into mechanical issues in his heat race, Moyer Jr. was forced pitside after the first lap sending him into the B-Main. Needing a 4th place finish or better in his consolation event to make the opening night A-Main, Billy scored a 3rd place spot locking him into the 23rd-starting position for the feature. The following night starting on the pole of his heat race, Moyer Jr. scored a 3rd place finish locking him into the 12th-starting spot for the final preliminary feature. Battling for a $10,000 payday, Billy jumped up four positions in the 25-lapper posting an 8th place finish.

On Saturday for the final night of the 23rd annual Dirt Late Model Dream, Moyer Jr. was slated to start on the pole of his heat race until he departed early from pre-race staging, sentencing him to the tail of the preliminary event. Needing the place in the Top 3 to make the show, Billy battled his way up to an 8th place finish from the seventh row. Earning the 14th-starting position in his consolation event for one last shot at the $100,000-to-win finale, Billy Moyer Jr. was a scratch from the 20-lap B-Main bringing a disappointing end to his weekend.
