October 19th, 2013 - The final event of the 2013 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) campaign was contested over the weekend with the 33rd Annual Dirt Track World Championship at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio).

Billy went into battle against a loaded field of 79 competitors, and struggles in time trials left him starting 10th on the grid for his heat race. He would bounce back in his heat race to finish 5th, which left him starting 4th in a b-main on Saturday night.

In his b-main he finished just outside a transfer spot with a 4th place finish. Despite not qualifying for the 100 lap feature he would get to run the non-qualifier race, which was tabbed as the $3,000-to-win, Jim Dunn Memorial. Early in the race Moyer Jr. battled at the front of the pack before ultimately retiring from the event with an ill-handling car.

With the LOLMDS campaign complete Billy Moyer Jr. claimed the JRI Shocks Rookie of the Year title and finished 9th in the overall series' standings. Full results from the event as well as the final series standings are available at www.LucasDirt.com.

October 12th, 2013 - It's no secret that it's been a tough year for Billy Moyer Jr. as he has spent a majority of his time traveling the country with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), competing at tracks he had never even seen. However, over the weekend he returned to familiar territory and recorded an impressive 2nd place finish in the 10th Annual Magnolia State Cotton Pickin' 100.

Fifty-two Super Late Models registered for competition at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) in the $20,000-to-win event. Qualifying on Friday evening resulted in Billy starting 2nd in his heat race, and he battled Jimmy Owens for much of the race before settling for a 2nd place finish, which sent him to Saturday night's 100 lap finale in the 8th starting spot.

As the main event went green in front of a massive crowd on Saturday night Billy began marching his way forward, and quickly raced into the top five. As the feature approached the halfway point he found his way into the 2nd spot behind race leader, Jimmy Owens. During the event's late laps Moyer Jr. caught Owens in traffic but couldn't do anything with him as he would settle into a still strong, 2nd place finish.

"This year has really been trying for me, but this event proves that we have all the right pieces in place," commented Moyer Jr. "I can't thank all of my sponsors and fans for their great support. Hopefully we can carry this momentum into next weekend's Lucas Oil finale at Portsmouth."

Full results from the event are available at www.MagnoliaDirt.com.

1October 6th, 2013 - The annual Dixie Shootout at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) opened the weekend for Billy Moyer Jr. on Saturday evening as a stacked field of 47 entries registered for battle at the 3/8 mile oval.

Billy began his night by finishing 4th in his heat race to lock into the 13th starting spot for the $10,000-to-win, 50 lap finale. For the majority of the event he raced just outside the top ten before ultimately slipping to an 18th place finish with an ill-handling car.

Sunday evening was scheduled to see the team competing at Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) in another $10,000-to-win event, but Mother Nature had other ideas as rain forced the event to be canceled.

Billy is 9th in the latest series standings and remains at the top of the JRI Shocks Rookie of the Year standings. Full results from the events as well as the latest series standings are available at www.LucasDirt.com.
