Billy Moyer Jr. rolls to career win in Deep Fried 75 at Duck River
By Ben Shelton (Batesville, AR) -- On Saturday night Billy Moyer Jr. raced to the biggest win of his young career in his Nutrien Ag Solutions #21jr Black Diamond Race Car/ Pro Power Racing Engines Super Late Model. He led all 75 circuits of the seventh annual Deep Fried 75 at Duck River Raceway Park to pick up the $14,500 check.
“I started in the right spot of course,” said Moyer Jr., who had earned the pole position via preliminary action. “I knew getting that jump (at the start) was big. I wanted to get the jump. I wanted to get in clean air and I wanted to set my own pace because I didn’t want to use my right front tire up with this tire rule, and I feel like the car was pretty dang good.

“We spent a lot of this season chasing our tails, but ever since we got this new car it feels like I’ve gotten my confidence back. There’s not many races left before the year is over, but I’m going to do my best to go out and win every single one that I enter.”
Billy Moyer Jr. invaded Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee) on Friday night for the preliminary events for the seventh annual Deep Fried 75. With 36 Super Late Models on hand for the two-day event, Moyer Jr. registered the fastest-time overall in his qualifying group locking him into the Dash. Picking up the Dash victory, Billy earned the pole position for Saturday night’s A-Main.
Jumping into the lead at the drop of the green flag in Saturday’s finale, Billy Moyer Jr. led wire-to-wire en route to his sixth win of the season, which came over Riley Hickman, Victor Lee, Morgan Bagley, and Austin Rettig. He pocketed a career-high $14,500 payday for his dominant performance in the 75-lap affair.
