The following night for another $7,000-to-win preliminary feature, Moyer Jr. recorded an eighth place finish in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main. Needing to place third or better, Billy fell short with a sixth place outing.
With preliminary results from Thursday and Friday setting the grid for Saturday night’s $30,000-to-win I-80 Nationals feature, Billy clawed forward one spot in his 12-lap consolation event to record a third place finish. Rolling off 24th, Billy Moyer Jr. was the first retiree from the 80-lap affair on the 10th lap.
Billy remains in ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
