Top-10 finish in the Night Before the Jackson

Billy Moyer Jr. returned to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) on Thursday afternoon for the rescheduled Indiana Icebreaker 50-lap feature from March 20. With his spot already locked into the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned feature, Moyer Jr. got hit by a mud clod across the helmet early in the race that resulted in an early exit.

For the 42nd annual Jackson 100 on Saturday, Moyer Jr. edged his way into the $20,000-to-win finale with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Lined up 14th on the starting grid, Billy was an early retiree from the 100-lap affair on lap 48.
