Billy Moyer Jr. competes in Comp Cams opener at Boothill

Friday night found Billy Moyer Jr. in action at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) for the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned doubleheader. In a field of 34 cars, Billy fell two spots short of transferring in his heat, sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. For the second round of the Ronny Adams Memorial on Saturday, Moyer Jr. followed up the fastest lap in his time trial group with an eight-lap heat race victory. Earning the second-starting position for the $7,000-to-win finale, Billy rebounded late in the 40-lapper to finish sixth after a tangle for the lead early bounced him out of contention.
