With 24 Late Models entered, Billy was caught in a tangle in his heat race that forced him to scratch from the feature.
He trekked to Benton Speedway (Benton, Mo.) on Wednesday for the round 13th of the Hell Tour but officials made the decision to cancel the event due to rough track conditions.
On Thursday at Fayette County Speedway (Brownstown, Ill.), Moyer Jr. outdueled Tanner English in his heat race to pick up the win. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Billy dropped three positions in the 40-lapper to finish fifth. He followed Shannon Babb, Tanner English, Bobby Pierce, and Gordy Gundaker across the line.
In a field of 24 cars on Friday at Paducah International Raceway (Paducah, Ky.), Billy inched forward one spot in the 40-lap feature to place third. He trailed Bobby Pierce and Tanner English to the checkers.
A trip to Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tenn.) on Saturday saw Moyer Jr. scratch from the feature due to poor track conditions after placing third in his heat race.
The weekend drew to a close on Sunday with a visit to Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Ill.) for the $5,000-to-win program. Following a second-place finish in his heat, Billy jumped up two spots in the feature to register a fourth-place finish.
