Moyer Jr. scores top-10 finish in Fall Classic prelim at Whynot
Billy Moyer Jr. was one of 48 Super Late Models crammed in the pit area at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.) on Friday for a pair of prelims to kick off the 29th annual Coors Light Fall Classic weekend.
With the field divided in two, Moyer raced into his preliminary feature with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Starting in 12th, Billy muscled forward four spots in the 30-lapper to register an eighth-place finish.
On Saturday, Billy squeezed into the $15,000-to-win Fall Classic finale with a third-place finish in his B-Main after missing a transfer spot in his heat race by one car. He was scored 15th in the final rundown after pulling pitside on lap 35.
